During the Corona years 2020-2022, for the first time in history, national policies of almost all countries have been „harmonized“ and brought into global lockstep. Whereas the overall pattern was astonishingly similar, some countries went particularly far in implementing strict Corona measures: Germany is a sad example of this. While other countries had already been celebrating “Freedom Day“, politicians in Germany misinterpreted the Omicron variant as particularly dangerous and worked politically towards general mandatory vaccinations for the population - which ultimately failed in April 2022 in the Bundestag, the German parliament. Throughout the winter of 2021/2022, unvaccinated people in Germany were excluded from social life beyond supermarket, townhall and doctor, and bullied by the media on a daily basis. Politicians, political advisors and public figures in Germany who took part in the social exclusion of the unvaccinated still refuse to discuss or come to terms with what happened.
