The 1980s were a decade of change in the motoring industry, and a decade of absolutely stonking excess around it. With everything getting bigger, louder, wilder and brighter, the eras concept cars basically followed suit, shedding the wedge-centred image of the 1970s in order to get a bit more bonkers through the 1980s. The decade featured some truly revolutionary thinking too, from a minivan with a Lamborghini V12 under the bonnet, to a car with eight wheels that could split into two, via a strange car/bike hybrid concept that could seat six with both a wheel and handlebars.
