Residence of the Rylski family in Baku

๐—ฃ๐—ข๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—› ๐—›๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—œ๐—ง๐—”๐—š๐—˜ ๐—œ๐—ก ๐—”๐—ญ๐—˜๐—ฅ๐—•๐—”๐—œ๐—๐—”๐—ก RESIDENCE OF THE RYLSKI FAMILY IN BAKU The building was built in 1912 for the Polish Rylski family, who were wealthy oil-producers. It was designed by the Polish architect Jรณzef Pล‚oszko, whose mastery of local architectural traditions are clearly reflected in this buildingโ€™s oriental faรงade. In 1919 it became the residence of the first Polish Consulate in Baku, which was headed by Stefan Rylski. Today it houses the Union of Cooperatives. The buildingโ€™s architect, a talented Pole Jozef Ploszko, worked in Baku for over 30 years until 1925, when he left for Warsaw in Poland. He was also the chief architect of Baku in 1907-1910.
