Fuel, money, our minds, they all burn in the searing heat of this intense year. But many things that feel intense can also be cleansing, be that fire, personal challenges or music. This story is told by the next release on Loose Lips, our label’s second vinyl release and first vinyl release put out purely by ourselves. Overcoming all kind of covid-related shipping challenges, we are finally ready to share it with the world! The EP is by good friend, LL resident and truly innovative producer, Rommek. A raw, cathartic gem for the times of raw-dogging reality - a number of his mind-bending productions showcasing different sides to his journey from 2014-2021, accompanied by a fiery fine-tuned remix by boundary-pushing duo, Lakker. Rommek’s musical world is wide and varied, as a DJ he plays out everything from Breakbeat to Post-Punk, as a member of the duo Torn Relics he bounces synthetic chaos off the violin lines courtesy of bandmate (and now wife!!!) Aimée Mullen. This release pares all of that back, plunging the listener through smoke and ash and into the abstract. Come now, it is time to acknowledge this wound.
