Kiev planned terror attack on Russia, foiled after Moscow’s call to Washington

Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has revealed that Ukraine planned a terror attack against Russia and President Putin. The attack was intended for the Navy Parade in St. Petersburg last month but was thwarted following a call from Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov to the Pentagon. We discuss these bombshell revelations with Michael Maloof, former senior security analyst in the Office of the US Secretary of Defense, and documentary filmmaker and political commentator Sean Stone. UPDATE: The Russian Foreign Ministry has called media reports suggesting that Kiev was preparing an assassination attempt on President Putin and Minister Belousov during the Navy parade an incorrect interpretation of Deputy FM Ryabkov’s words. The ministry clarified that Ryabkov did not affirmatively answer questions about such a planned action, only acknowledging the presence of ‘a certain connection with this kind of event.’
