Lima paralyzed | Drivers, markets join protests against insecurity in Peru

Peruvians in Lima took to the streets for the third time in a month to protest rising crime and insecurity. Drivers’ unions and food markets closed, bringing the city to a standstill. In response, the government suspended classes for millions of children and deployed thousands of police and soldiers to the streets.
