The Reason Why Mankind Needs to Repent Before God and Receive the Forgiveness of Their Sins Through the Day of Atonement On the Day of Atonement, when mankind repents before God for all the sins they committed in heaven and on this earth both knowingly and unknowingly, they will be forgiven of their sins through God’s grace and given the opportunity to return to the kingdom of heaven.
