Find your dream classical guitar on and check out to sell your guitar 😊 Jean Lopes Baiano (b. 1994) holds a degree in music, a bachelor’s degree in classical guitar and a master’s degree in music in the area of interpretive practices at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, under the artistic guidance of Paulo Inda in both graduations, Daniel Wolff (artistic advisor) and Isabel Porto Nogueira (research advisor) in master’s degree. He began his guitar studies with his mother, Fernanda Lopes, and began formal studies with Daniel Mendes Eilers in 2007. Later, in 2011, he joined the Extension Course in Musical Instruments at UFRGS, where he was a student of Paulo Inda and Rubens Baggio Lima. He participated in music festivals and masterclasses, taking guitar lessons with Mario Ulloa, Maria Haro, Daniel Göritz, Francisco Gil, Ulisses Rocha, María Isabel Siewers, Lapo Vannucci, Silvana Saldaña, Javier Bravo, Cecília Siqueira, Fernando Lima, Gilson Antunes, Ana Maria Iordache and Thomas Patterson. He won music competitions nationwide and was awarded in international competitions, highlighting the 1st place in the Young Soloists Aldo Parisot (Rio Grande do Norte Symphony Orchestra), the 1st Place in the II National Guitar Contest of AV-Rio and 1st place in the II and III editions of the Juan Carlos Amat Award (made by the music school Estação Musical in partnership with the General Consulate of Spain in Porto Alegre). Jean is currently developing and intensifying his work as a soloist guitarist, chamber musician and composer, having carried out and participated in several musical projects and having his work dedicated and/or played by instrumentalists from different countries, such as Jiji Kim (South Korea/USA), Octávio Deluchi (Brazil/USA), Felipe Herbert (Brazil), Ramon Junior Kercher (Brazil/Italy), Joscelyn Leahy (Australia), Orquestra Lux Sonora (Brazil) and Artemis Guitar Duo, formed by Katty Mayorga (Nicaragua/USA) and Isabella Abbonizio (Italy/USA). Since March 2021 he has been a member of the Lux Sonora orchestra, with a focus on the interpretation of music from the 16th to the 17th centuries. Jean has experience in the area of music education. He currently gives private lessons and is a guitar teacher at Live Escola de Música, in addition to being the coordinator of the musical center at Casinha Kaponto, where he also is music teacher.
