Camping and Hiking

Hey everyone, Christie and I managed to get away for our first overnight mountain adventure since our pup Arya hurt her leg. Arya snapped a tendon and had to be rushed into surgery back in early May. Needless to say, we had to cancel all our plans and help her through recovery. Arya’s doing much better now and is almost back to 100%. So, we took this opportunity to head down to the Buena Vista and Salida area of Colorado and knock off another 14er. This was my 21st and Christie’s 10th. Huron was great and it was probably my favorite and most scenic beginner 14er that I’ve done. After we got down we managed some fly fishing and spent a couple nights camping in the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and we hope to be back on track for more consistent adventures moving forward!!
