High Falls Park, located in DeKalb County, Alabama, is a small county park that holds BIG views! We never need much of a reason to explore but on this day we had reason. We were already heading to Alabama for a family gathering and had heard about Bald Eagles in the Lake Guntersville area. After a bit of research we mapped out several stops to search for the elusive birds and headed out. During our drive to these various locations we saw signs for “High Falls Park“ pointing down a small county road. Being the waterfall chasers we are there wasn’t any hesitation at the word “falls!“ After a short drive following signs we entered a gate into a parking lot for High Falls Park. As we got out we were greeted by the staff and asked to sign the park register. They gave us a bit of information about the park and sent us on our way.
