This fun groove by Gene Hoglan appears at 0:40-1:03 and 3:58-4:21 on the original recording (the song Zero Tolerance is from Death’s ’95 album “Symbolic“). Respect for Mr. Hoglan for coming up with this stuff back in the day! As a right-handed drummer with a 4-piece drum kit, it’s always a fun challenge to figure out how to play Hoglan’s amazing grooves from the Death era.
