Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on May 20-21st 2023

▪️Russian troops have launched strikes with drones “Geran-2“ at enemy military facilities in Kyiv. According to some reports, one of the drones hit an ammunition depot: a large fire broke out at the site of the hit. ▪️Ukrainian units fired at least 14 border settlements in Belgorod region. In Shebekino, a solid waste landfill was hit by the AFU, the resulting fire was promptly put out. ▪️The AFU again used the HIMARS MLRS to strike at civilian targets in Luhansk People’s Republic. In Kalynove-Borshchuvate, more than a dozen residential buildings were damaged, two women were killed, and five more people were wounded. ▪️On May 20, the Wagner PMC’s units completely liberated Bakhmut, the city was stormed for 224 days. The remnants of the Ukrainian forces could not withstand the onslaught and retreated, leaving defencive positions. ▪️Near Avdiivka, Russian troops continue to expand the control zone north of Krasnohorivka. To the west of the village, positional battles continue along the railway. ▪️The Kyiv regime continues to conduct massive shelling of Donetsk agglomeration territories. Residential buildings were damaged in the capital of the DPR and Yasynuvata, two people, including a child, were wounded. ▪️The AFU again used Storm Shadow cruise missiles to attack Russian rear facilities. The target of the strike in Berdyans’k was the airfield territory: the hit did not lead to any serious damage for the infrastructure.
