Russia averted nuclear disaster? Moscow destroys Ukraine drone fired at Europe’s biggest nuke plant

Russia’s defence ministry said that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian drone which was trying to attack the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, on Monday. Russian troops placed on the one of the buildings of the nuclear plant destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicle. It said there was no serious damage and radiation levels were Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of shelling near the nuclear power plant in recent weeks. As fears mount of radiation leaks, United Nations nuclear watchdog - IAEA sent a mission of inspectors to inspect the site which has been under Russian control since March.
