Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on May 6-7th 2023

▪️Another terrorist attack took place in Russia: Zakhar Prilepin’s car was blown up in Nizhny Novgorod region. As a result of the detonation, the driver was killed, the writer was taken to the hospital with multiple wounds. ▪️In Crimean peninsula, near Pryvitne, Russian air defense systems shot down two tactical missiles of the Hrim-2 complex. Later, a massive raid by 23 enemy drones that tried to attack objects in the area of Sevastopol and Hvardiis’ke was successfully repelled. ▪️AFU units once again fired the border Glushkovsky district of Kursk region. The villages Krasnooktyabr’skiy and Tetkino were hit: one house was damaged, there were no casualties. ▪️In Belgorod region, Ukrainian units again shelled Shebekino, as well as the villages Murom and Spodariushino. Residential buildings and civil infrastructure facilities received numerous damages. Two people were wounded. ▪️Another exchange of prisoners of war took place on the border territory of Belgorod and Sumy regions. Two lieutenant colonels and a major of the Russian Aerospace Forces returned to their homeland. They were taken to medical institutions for further treatment and rehabilitation. ▪️In Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC assault groups are storming the last Ukrainian positions in the western quarters of the city. On the northern flank, Russian units managed to break through the enemy’s defences along Peremogi and Tolbuhina Streets. ▪️To the south, fierce fighting is going on for the so-called “Nest“ — a complex of multi-storey buildings turned into a powerful fortified area by AFU. The Wagner PMC assault groups are methodically moving in the direction of the Peremoha cinema westward of Chajkovskogo St.
