RYBAR: HIGHLIGHTS OF RUSSIAN MILITARY OPERATION IN UKRAINE ON APRIL 17, 2023

▪️Ukrainian drones struck the energy infrastructure of Belgorod region. Explosion caused a fire at substations in Blizhnyaya Igumenka and Dragunskoye. ▪️At the same time throughout the day the enemy shelled the border population centres of the region. Houses and infrastructure were hit in Shebekinsky and Graivoronsky urban districts as well as in Borisovsky district. ▪️In Lysychans’k sector near Bilohorivka, Russian troops continue their offensive on AFU positions. Intense fighting is recorded to the southeast of the settlement, where advanced units managed to break into the enemy’s defences. ▪️Storming of Bakhmut continues, with Russian forces currently controlling more than 80 per cent of the city. Despite the dire situation, the Ukrainian command continues its pointless resistance, sending more and more units to their deaths. ▪️In the northern part of the city, Wagner PMC fighters continue to press the enemy along the entire front line. Ukrainian formations have withdrawn from Artemivsk elevator area, losing another important point of defence. ▪️In the centre and south of the city there is intense street fighting for the railway station and multi-storey buildings. Despite some successes of the Russian forces, AFU continues to hold a steady line of defence in this part of the city. ▪️In Mar’inka, heavy fighting continues in the central quarters west of Druzhba Avenue.
