The Geologic Oddity in Hawaii; Molokini Volcano

Molokini is one of the most visited located in the vicinity of the island of Maui. This feature has an interesting volcanic origin, as it originated in a volcanic eruption from a flank and submarine vent of the scenic Halekala volcano. More than 1,000 feet wide, Molokini is a type of vent known as a “tuff cone“.
