The turmoil at America’s most-watched cable news network continued this week when Fox News announced it had “parted ways“ with prime-time host Tucker Carlson. Carlson’s departure follows last week’s multi-million dollar settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, and Lachlan Murdoch’s decision to drop his defamation case against local online publisher, Crikey. In another defamation case arising out of the false claims about the 2020 presidential election, Smartmatic is suing the network for US$2.7 billion.
