Passion Play - Oberammergau in Bavaria, Germany. The Oberammergau Passion Play, given every 10 years in this town in Bavaria; started in 1633 (the years were later changed to those ending in 0). This one probably from 1920 or 1930. Filmed from back centre of audience; stage is like a temple. Chorus all in long white robes; stand across stage; then move to sides of proscenium as curtains open. Scene w/ angel on stage. Next; some priests & altar boys walk onstage. Brief shot of curtains closing at end of crucifixion scene. Another scene; a line of people in robes; w/ some sort of crowns or head dresses.
