Boxing - Cook V Carpentier 1923 (1923)

Boxing - Cook V Carpentier 1923. Boxers in corners; preparing for the match; while several trainers; referees; etc. standing in ring. Scenes from the match; the 2 men boxing; w/ referee also in the ring; wearing a rather formal looking suit. The all-male spectators also are in formal wear. Between rounds trainers & assistants quickly jump up; 2 men begin fanning boxer w/ towels while another examines him. Fight resumes; boxers go 4 rounds; fight ends in KO. Loser finally staggers back up; 3 men fan him w/ towels for a bit; then he crosses to shake hands w/ the winner. More handshakes; etc. (Note: I am uncertain which boxer won the fight (possibly Georges Carpentier): there are no CU’s and film is rather grainy; which makes it difficult to identify them.)
