This is one of several stories found attached to 3rd reel of cuts for the documentary ’LURE OF THE EAST’. This is probably missing story FESTIVAL OF HARVEST in newsreel issue 34/81. Titles read: “The Festival of Harvest - Peasants flock to Goslar for music and feasting“. Various shots of decorated town square, fountain, nazi swastikas hanging from buildings, local little girls with plaits, locals wave from windows, ribbons hang from maypole type objects. German peasants in traditional costume walk along in a parade with swastika flags flying in background. Good M/S of several flags flying. Aerial view of something (tents?) set out on the ground below in a swastika shape. Peasants wearing ornate hats of berries. Crowds of people in a stadium make nazi salute as Adolf Hitler comes walking along with an entourage. Children run up to the Fuhrer. Good C/Us of locals watching the parade.
