Forest Fires (1918)

Forest fires. Location of events unknown. United States of America. Fighting forest fires! Looks like western USA; esp. 2nd part. Pan across several men bashing at smoking brush. CU men breaking up smoking stump. LS pan across hilly forest area; w/ smoke and some flames. Closer shot of hillside w/ grasses & brush in flames. Some trees or bushes on fire; masses of black smoke coming from it. GV Slow pan trees burning; flames higher; fire growing. After fire: pan on entirely burned up forest. US man standing up on a very shaky-looking tower. Cool shot - as if looking through binoculars; w/ black around edges - pan across LS looking out over forest hills - until coming to area where a fire is starting; thin line of smoke rising from middle of the pine trees. US guy up on tower again. On the ground: man comes running round corner of a log cabin and in the door to the telephone. CU Man (forest ranger ?) talking into telephone. Danger; emergency; Disasters.
