The Russian Famine - SS Saturn loading 400 tons of foodstuff for the famine area. 1919 - 1921? Location of events unknown - London? Shot of men wheeling boxes on hand trucks; along dock; ship on right. Crane lifting bags onto ship. CU crane drops the bags on top of others; men working there untie them; stack them up. Shot of men lined up. Then shot of backs of line of men in uniforms; w/ men on balcony making speeches etc. Closer shot balcony. Some flash frames. Below deck: DS bags all placed side to side; forming a layer like a carpet. Man walks to centre. CU crane swinging more bags. DS people working; unloading more bags; spreading them out (all this is very dark). Back on deck: shot of crane lifting more bags to ship.
