Nelson’s Column Damaged (1920-1929)

Nelson’s column damaged. London. Nelson’s column bombed- but doesn’t look like it was a very successful attempt. 1920s? Opens w/ CU bricks in base; looks like a heap of something below. Some men walk into picture from rt. Jumps to same w/ a whole bunch of people crowded around this spot - several young people look very amused - girls w/ big grins; boy in front w/ smirk. Cut to shot w/ the crowd of kids (children to teenagers) now moved back away from the monument; standing in a row a few yards to rt. a sort of pipe thing is lying on ground next to the monument and pile of dirt & bits of stone. CU of damage - not much; just looks like some of the side is scraped off - a couple guys standing on the pile; their shoes & pants visible. Another shot of damage at a different part - more stone broken off here. Legs of some men standing on top of this ledge. Then GV monument from distance; w/ crowd around it.
