Race Against Time - Dunlop Reel Two. (1960)

Phil Hill at Monza is talking on the link to Teddington during the recording of his voice over, “Phil we want you to take out the word “bashing“ and put in the word “hammering“ OK?“. Phil agrees, and repeats the commercial. At 37 secs it is OK. The sound tape is edited, at Fleet street the still pictures are received, transmitted from Monza. A despatch rider takes the pictures to Teddington. The stills are spread onto the studio floor for selection and the sound tape checked after editing. Marjorie the director, cigarette in hand, sits at the control desk and the commercial begins. Unfortun...ately the pictures are in the wrong order and they have to go again, this time it is OK, but more pictures have arrived and must be incorporated into the final commercial. A two inch recording video tape is prepared, the lighting man adjusts the dimmers on his consol, more checking and they are ready to go. Marjorie lights another fag, Mike is on standby, and a countdown begins. The commercial is run, and it is ok! Eve
