Military Show (1914-1918)

Military Show - American Soldiers March Past. Location of events unknown. Military show; in a stadium. Back view; soldiers kneel & fire (don’t know what uniforms are). Men w/ spears hide behind wall built across stadium; smoke on other side - spectators in stands in BG. Maybe supposed to represent primitive warfare. Soldiers march across field w/ rifles; bayonets; some limping. Back view some extravaganza - US soldiers; children in native costumes; etc. Next; looks like a garden party; Union Jack flying; British soldier on bicycle rides past. Another scene has doughboys (American soldiers) marching; w/ women in summer dresses holding parasols; waving. Nurses follow. CU soldiers marching; women shake heroes’ hands. In FG a guy in black face dressed as native walks past (a touch of racism). Group representing home front; in civilian dress; walk behind nurses.
