Comedian / film star / singer Danny Kaye in action at Royal Command Performance 1948 - London Palladium. Unedited footage / cuts / rushes / out takes. High angle shot of Danny talking to the audience from the stage, in front of microphone stand. He impersonates a child talking about a visit to the zoo. He gets the audience to sing a note then walks over the piano in the orchestra pit to the front of the stalls and asks them to sing louder. Back to the mic, he starts to sing ’Minnie The Moocher’. Excellent footage of Danny in action, complete with all his elaborate gesticulations! The audience join in with the lengthy call and follow sections. Cut to end of song. Cut to Danny on stage with curtain behind. He tells audience he is going to do a song by Bud Flanagan (audience applauds). He brings Sammy Grey (Craig? his pianist?) out from behind the curtain; he walks down to the pit.
