Victory On The Somme (1914-1918)

Victory on the Somme - French gun battery. France. Artillery. Opens w/ guns in a field; hidden in ditches and under hay. French soldiers behind guns. Leader gives arm signal; guns fire. CU gun barrel sticking out of the hay or straw; firing; it jumps. Shot from behind - in ditch; w/ barrel of gun sticking up over side; soldier pulls cord to fire the gun, it fires, and the gun jumps back. CU behind another gun in a ditch; w/ sandbags piled up at side. One man runs away from gun; this time one sees only the cord being pulled; the man doing it is off camera. Cuts just as gun fires. Pan along a huge gun; draped in some sort of netting. Shot of gun being loaded - several men stand on platform; lifting shell into the gun. LS gun firing. Finally; a big fat gun; mounted on a really large sturdy structure with camouflage paint - may be the type that’s on a railway track and is moved around easily that way.
