Mechanical Trench Digging (1910-1919)

Mechanical trench digging. Location of events unknown. World War One; technology. Trench warfare. Trench digging machine. CU part of the machine;w/ buckets attached to a rotating wheel (rather like seats of a Ferris wheel) ; the buckets scooping up earth. MS of buckets; as they revolve on their downward arc; dump the dirt into a chute w/ a conveyor belt;this moves the earth up the chute where it then divides in 2 and is ejected on the sides; 3 soldiers stand at the top; 2 down in the ditch; which is already ca. 5-6’ deep. Then shot w/ 1 of the divided ends in FG - - conveyor belt on a roller; dirt spraying out; in BG some French soldiers walking through the trench. Inventions. *Dupe neg of same is on ON 236 F.
