Subaru Impreza 22b-STi has been built on a GC8 chassis for Subaru’s 40th anniversary. Subaru Impreza 22b-STi has a lot of upgrades when it is compared with his brother standard GC8, 22b-STi has forged pistons, forged crankshaft, forged and bigger engine block, forged camshafts, turbocharger, better suspensions, brakes and some interior improvements... So it’s basicly a high performance car. The car has a 2.2 liter turbocharged boxer and its power output is 206 kW (276 hp). By using boxer engine Subaru engineers intended to lower the car’s center of gravity and to balance moment of inertia of engine. Subaru Impreza 22b-STi has been perfectly balanced in the consideration of gravity. Subaru used symmetrical AWD on Impreza 22b-STi also the car lets the driver to differ power transmitting ratio between front and rear differantials manually. But without commemorating Colin McRae this text would be a little lean. Colin McRae has won numerous achievements with this car in World Rally Championship. Subaru Impreza stuck memory of most of us with the car’s Rally Blue color, Golden rims and 555 vinyl and of course driving by Colin McRae. I still have a lot of fun by playing Codemaster’s Colin McRae and DiRT series also Forza Horizon lets you to have a driving experience of the car on the city roads, which is nice.
