Mark Zuckerberg meets with LG Electronics, Samsung chiefs in Seoul discuss cooperation in XR devices

방한 저커버그, LG전자와 ’XR 동맹’ 강화 이재용과 만찬 Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg today met with chiefs of Samsung and LG Electronics to discuss enhancing cooperation in the extended reality business. The meetings came during Zuckerberg’s three-day visit to Seoul, after he arrived in South Korea on Tuesday for his first visit here in a decade. With LG Electronics CEO Cho Joo-wan, Zuckerberg discussed the development of XR devices and the possibility of future collaboration in AI development. Cho forecasts that XR devices produced from the collaboration with Meta are expected to be commercialized in 2025. Later on the same day, Zuckerberg also met with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong. They are also known to have discussed possible cooperation in AI semiconductors and XR businesses.
