S. Korean Navy, Marine Corps members depart for multinational exercise in Thailand

해군•해병대, 코브라골드 연합훈련 참가 오늘 출항 Members of South Korea’s Navy and Marine Corps are heading to Thailand on Wednesday to join this year’s annual multinational military exercise, dubbed Cobra Gold. The Navy’s 4,900-ton No Jeok Bong landing ship, carrying some 330 personnel will join the exercise. The military exercise will take place from February 26th to March 8th. The South Korean military is mobilizing six assault amphibious vehicles, two K55 self-propelled howitzers, and a K77 fire direction center vehicle. A total of seven countries, including the U.S., and Japan, are taking part, with China and India participating as observers.
