На этих землях проходит главный водораздел Русской равнины - бассейнов Днепра (Десна и Болва) и Волги (Жиздра и Ока). Музыкально-этнографическая культура этих мест сочетает в себе черты западных традиций Подесенья и верхнеокских. Программа состоит из пролога и четырех частей, музыкальное содержание которых опирается на важные для народного миросозерцания смыслы: Пролог: ПРЕДЧУВСТВИЕ. ЧАСТЬ I. СВАДЬБА; ЧАСТЬ II. ОТЧУЖДЕНИЕ. СМЕРТЬ; ЧАСТЬ III. ГРАНИ; ЧАСТЬ IV. ГУЛЯНИЯ. В ПРОЛОГЕ звучат подблюдные припевки-«загадки», сопровождающие святочные гадания на судьбу. Чувство неопределенности и смятения охватывает человека: что ждет его в будущем - женитьба, смерть, богатство или бедность, дорога на чужбину, болезнь, любовь? Музыкально интонируемое слово выступает здесь глашатаем того “приговора судьбы“, который каждому предначертан. ПЕРВАЯ ЧАСТЬ посвящена музыке свадьбы, песни и причитания которой сопровождают молодую пару на главном рубеже-“переходе“ жизни, акцентируя его сакральность и необратимость. On these lands passes the main watershed of the Russian plain - the basins of the Dnieper (Desna and Bolva) and the Volga (Zhizdra and Oka). The musical and ethnographic culture of these places combines the features of the Western traditions of the Desna and Upper Oka, which existed to the south and east. The program consists of a prologue and four parts, the musical content of which is based on the meanings important for the national worldview: Prologue: A PREMONITION. PART I. WEDDING. PART II. ALIENATION. DEATH. PART III. FACETS. PART IV. FESTIVITIES. Ritual folklore is presented here through the prism of emotional reactions and philosophical reflections of a person - about fate, soul, death and love, home and foreign land, grief and happiness, asceticism and celebration. The Museum of Ethnographic Costume of Yukhnovgrad (director Alexey Kuznetsov) provided ethnographic costumes of the Ludinovsky, Zhizdrinsky and Kirovsky districts of the Kaluga Region for the performance. The video collection uses photos of Dmitry Scheslavsky from the funds of the Museum of Church and Historical Local Lore at the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Ludinovo and the Museum of Ethnographic Costume of Yukhnovgrad. In THE PROLOGUE, there are public choruses-“riddles“ accompanying Christmas fortune-telling. A sense of uncertainty and confusion engulfs a person: what awaits him in the future - marriage, death, wealth or poverty, the road to a foreign land, illness, love? The musically intonated word acts here as the herald of the “verdict of fate“ that is destined for everyone. THE FIRST PART is devoted to the music of the wedding, the songs and lamentations of which accompany the young couple at the main turn-the “transition“ of life, emphasizing its sacredness and irreversibility.
