This massive stone rises 650 feet out of the flat ground of Guatape, Colombia, the Piedra de Penol or El Peñon de Guatape, which was once worshiped by the Tahamies Indians. At the top, you get “the best view in the world“ from a rock. This mysterious rock formation wasn’t traversed until 50 or so years ago, and when humans finally got to the top, they discovered a species of plant only found there and nowhere else on earth.
