Anna Magdalena was Bach’s second wife. Around 1725 Bach assembled a third copybook of pieces for her which included works by other composers she liked. Bach wrote her name in Indian ink and gold lettering on the green binding. *I am using the Harmonic Piano Pedal only in these recordings. The Harmonic Piano Pedal was invented by Denis de La Rochefordière.
