Bob Dylan covers Leonard Cohen’s ’Dance Me to the End of Love’ in Montreal

On Sunday night, Bob Dylan’s Rough and Rowdy Ways tour reached Montreal, Leonard Cohen’s birthplace, where he paid tribute to the late artist with a stunning rendition of his 1984 hit, “Dance Me to the End of Love.” It’s the first time Dylan has covered the song, first released by Cohen, a Montreal native, on his 1984 album, Various Positions. Dylan has previously covered Cohen’s “Hallelujah“ during a 1988 Never Ending Tour stop in Montreal. - Source recording: ryantheduke, Apple Watch - Remastered by Bennyboy, October 2023
