Crysis - Revisiting a PC Classic (Max Settings/4xAA) - Part 1 [Full HD]
A chance to revisit the atmospheric island setting of the last great PC-exclusive classic, Crysis, with maximum visual settings and Delta difficulty level.
Released in November 2007, Crysis still sets the standard for other PC games in terms of graphics and gameplay. Almost every type of advanced visual and physics effect is available in the game. Similarly, the enemy AI, the weapons, the interactivity with the game world, and the nanosuit itself, along with a whole range of small touches mean that no two playthroughs are ever the same.
Only now in 2010 do most people have the hardware to truly appreciate this game with decent visuals, and indeed only with the latest generation cards can we run the game at maximum settings smoothly, with even a bit of antialiasing thrown in to boot while keeping very playable framerates.
Retail version of Crysis is used with Patch, Delta difficulty level, running in DX10 at 1920x1200, all settings to maximum (Very High), and 4x Antialiasing applied within the game.
No mods have been added to the game. The only additional tweaks used in my file are:
con_restricted=0
r_texturesstreaming=0
r_TexMaxAnisotropy=16
Along with r_width 1920 r_height 1200 r_fullscreen 1 in the launch icon’s command line to force 1920x1200 fullscreen resolution upon launch.
