How to Fake Rain in Filmmaking | Cinematography 101

We focus on creating shadows of rain on the character’s face, using hard moonlight to do so, and balancing out the frame with soft, tungsten interior light. But of course, how are we going to get rain in the scene in the first place? Our producer Moses has some tricks up his sleeve, and found a rain machine for the budget.
