We open this weeks’ Dungeon Synth Sunday with an album of sombre atmosphere and dark fantasy, from UK artist Forgotten Land of Dust and Shadow. An evocative project name, for a debut album of funereal ambience, solemn chimes and wistful melodies. Tapes will be available to order from Vicious Mockery on Friday 11th March This being the first DSS of the month also sees us introduce a new artist to our intro banner. Our March banners will feature the work of Spanish painter and sculptor José Benlliure y Gil, starting with his 1919 depiction of the ‘Boat of Charon’ - the ferryman of Hades who carries souls of the newly deceased across the rivers Styx and Acheron that divided the world of the living from the world of the dead.
