Russia: Pilot succesfully conducts the maiden flight of the Yak-152 aircraft

The maiden flight of the Yak-152 aircraft was successfully executed by test pilot Vasili Sevastyanov in Irkutsk on Thursday. The Yak-152 is a new-generation primary trainer aircraft being developed by Yakovlev Design Bureau, part of the Irkut Corporation. The aircraft is being developed for the Russian Ministry of Defence, paramilitary sport organisation Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Fleet (DOSAAF) among other Russian organisations.
