Germany: Major ’anti-terror’ op underway in five states across Germany

German police forces carried out a so called ’anti-terror raid’ in Suhl, Thuringia state, on Tuesday, as part of a major police operation that took place simultaneously across five different federal states of Germany. According to some sources, police were looking for a 28-year-old suspect, said to be a Russian national of Chechen descent with links to the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militant organisation.
