Woodturning - Trash to Treasure: Scrub Oak In Glass (clear resin)

Thanks for liking, commenting and subscribing! Found this scrub oak knot out hiking in Castle Rock, Colorado. As I began to get it into round I loved the shape that was appearing, but it didn’t have enough wood to really stand on its own, so I cast it in clear resin. I also experimented with using some pourable silicone mold material in the pot to keep from wasting too much resin and keep the shape of the bowl that was coming together.
