On Thursday morning, a magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck the Ningxia region of China. Tremors were also felt in the neighboring province of Inner Mongolia. The earthquake occurred at 10:24 local time. The epicenter was at a depth of 27 kilometers. Ningxia is a region in north-central China. The population is about 7.2 million.
