Tutorial: Making grains for the Field Sweater - Mostly Knitting Podcast

In this video I demonstrate how to create the grains for the Field Sweater - how to make the grain and how to collapse it. I demonstrate all 4 rounds that are involved in creating the grain. I recommend: 1. Sharp tips for your needles 2. A cable needle that is substantially smaller than the needle you are knitting with - for my actual sweater on the needles, my cable needle is and my knitting needle is 4mm 3. Make the grain quite loosely as it can be hard to collapse when you knit the 3 sts together if you dont. 4. Using some stitch markers. Even if you dont have stitch markers for every repeat, maybe have stitch markers separating every 3 or 4 repeats to prevent you from getting off track (or catch you before you get too far) This is a paid pattern so i focus on the repeat for constructing the grain and don’t share the numbers involved in the pattern. Hopefully just enough to help in the creation for someone who has already purchased
