He personally unearthed the remains of dozens of soldiers. Unfortunately, only a few can be identified. Many remain nameless. Their memory is honoured today, on the Day of the Unknown Soldier in Russia! Search teams continue their work even after the beginning of the war. After all, the territories of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions are abundantly watered with blood. 80 years ago there were fierce battles here—just like today.
