Thousands take part in ’pro-Britain’ rally in Central London but clashes on Whitehall

Several men were arrested on Whitehall in London after clashing with police following a large ‘pro-Britain’ rally in Trafalgar Square today (July 27). The march and gathering, of around 20,000 people, was organised to celebrate Britain’s values, contributions and people. Despite a largely peaceful event, several men were detained after scuffling with police officers in chaotic scenes outside a pub on Whitehall. Met Police stated: “four people have been arrested outside a pub in Whitehall on suspicion of assault on emergency workers. Four officers were assaulted. Fortunately none sustained serious injuries. That brings the number of protest/event related arrests so far to nine.“ This video is being exclusively managed by Newsflare. Email licensing@ or visit to license this video.
