Puddles Pity Party, “I Started a Joke“ by The Bee Gees - Skyline Sessions
The non-speaking, seven-foot-tall clown known as Puddles became a worldwide internet sensation in 2013 when a video of his baritone cover of Lorde’s “Royals,” a collaboration with the music collective Postmodern Jukebox, went viral (it now has over 17 million views). Since then, Puddles has produced several more viral videos, mostly covers of recent hit songs, and he has toured the U.S., Europe and Australia.
Puddles Pity Party visited Houston Public Media’s Geary Studio while in Houston recently for a set of concerts at the Alley Theatre, presented by Lott Entertainment. He recorded the Bee Gees’ 1968 song “I Started a Joke,” and Sia’s 2014 hit single “Chandelier.”
