This Week in Volcano News; Unrest at 2 Alaskan Volcanoes, Ubinas Erupts

In Alaska, both the Trident and Takawangha volcanoes are showing signs of unrest due to confirmation of ground uplift and an earthquake swarm, respectively. Meanwhile, in Peru, the Ubinas volcano erupted anew after producing numerous shallow earthquakes attributed to the influx of molten rock into its magma chamber. And, in Hawaii, the Kilauea volcano stopped erupting, which in the week leading up to the end of the eruption had largely involved lava effusing from a single vent on its caldera wall. This video will discuss these stories & list the 42 volcanoes which are actively erupting across the planet. Thumbnail Photo Credit: J. As of June 24th, 2023, Kilauea is not actively erupting. A special thanks to the Two Pineapples YouTube channe
