Mermaid Fairy House Lamp Using Jar & Homemade Air Dry Clay, DIY Gift Idea

I am sharing fairy house ideas with mermaid tail as the roof using jar, paper waste, and air dry clay. This DIY craft project is very easy to make and looks pretty for gift or even selling. Feel free to follow my design if you like to make your own mermaid house. I start the project by wrapping the jar with clay directly, creating door, windows, and some holes using straw and cookie cutter. This way, the lights will shine out through the holes. And then make some miniature coral shapes with clay to create the underwater scene and feel. Leave the clay to dry and move on to the roof part. I make mermaid’s tail as the roof of my fairy house. I make a cone with thin cardboard, fill it with crumpled paper, add paper on top of the cone to make the tail shape I like, add cardboard piece for the tip of the tail, and use painter tape to keep the shape in place.
