Gaza health worker advocate: ‘Our colleagues are begging for international intervention’

Tanya Haj Hassan is the co-founder of Gaza Medic Voices, an international group that seeks to highlight the voices of medical workers in Gaza. She called the accounts she has been receiving “horrific”. The medical complex was also repeatedly hit with strikes overnight. She read an appeal from the director of surgery at the hospital: “Dear colleagues, the situation at al-Shifa now is extremely dangerous. We, as medical staff, want to leave but we cannot, we might not survive until morning.
