Smashing The Grab And Dash Raiders! (1935)

Titles read: “SMASHING THE GRAB AND DASH RAIDERS!“ Reading, Berkshire. A woman is seen walking along an empty country road. A car pulls up beside her; a man jumps out and wrestles the woman to the ground (man walking in the background doesn’t seem too perturbed by this). The mugger seems to snatch a purse from the woman then jumps in the car and is driven off. A man in a bowler hat, walking from the opposite direction, rushes to help the woman. This man rushes to a special emergency box and speaks direct to the police about the incident, describing the raider’s car. He is told to wait there for an ambulance which soon arrives. The description of the car is broadcast to several emergency police boxes around the town. A police lamp flashes to alert a passing policeman. He goes into a nearby building and hears details of the wanted car. A trap is laid for the robbers by closing one lane of traffic in the road they are heading down.
